Welcome to week 1-4 of the new training year. This week and block we’ve got new stuff we haven’t done before:
Monday swim Scotstoun – 8:00-9:00 or 9:30pm. Relaxation and aerobic development plus kicking. If you have / need fins to kick then bring them
Tuesday am swim Scotstoun – 7:00-8:00am. Mix of long aerobic reps and fast kick / swims for tech and power.
Tuesday pm Run 6:45pm departure from Botanic Gardens – longer aerobic group warm up, tech development work and real co-ordination / speed development work.
Tuesday Pm swim Scotstoun – 8:30-9:30pm – quality set with kicking.
Tuesday PM Swim Allander – 9:00-10:00pm – Tech block 3 – Head position, breathing and arm recovery / hand entry.
Wednesday PM Turbo Whiteinch 8:00-9:30pm – Turbo setup, cadence / pedalling skills and aerobic build ramps with some strength.
Thursday PM Run Scotstoun 6:45 departure. 5 speed threshold effort running using gradients for speed and strength skills development. session based at Jordanhill campus.
Thursday PM swim scotstoun 8:30-9:30pm. Long aerobic and strength work with technical focus. Bring fins if need for kicking.
Sunday PM Swim Allander – 7:30-8:30pm – Tech block 3 – Head position, breathing and arm recovery / hand entry.
Something there for everyone so with 140+ senior members I guess we will be busy!!
