Junior Section

Fusion Juniors

Our junior section is the most successful in Scotland. The importance of juniors to the sport in Scotland is unquestionable and we currently offer one of the best junior set ups in the country. Plus it’s also fun, friendly and fast, Fusion’s Junior sessions will introduce kids to triathlon and develop comprehensive skills and athletic ability.

Junior Training

Training takes place at Bellahouston every Sunday. Sessions run from 8am to 11am and include an hour in the pool followed by 1 hour 45 of mixed biking and running. All biking and running takes place around the park paths and velodrome to ensure the safety of the athletes. There is also a further training session on a Wednesday evening from 4:45pm to 7pm at Bellahouston that requires to be pre-booked in advance.
Please see the Junior Training FAQ page for further detail on training sessions

Attending other club sessions

Children age 14 and over can attend adult swim sessions at Scotstoun Pool, providing the coach is confident they can cope with the training and meet the standard of swimming 400m in 9 minutes or less.

Children age 14 and over can attend Fusion bike sessions provided the coach is confident of their ability.

Children age 11 and over can attend Fusion run sessions provided the coach is confident of their ability. However if a second coach is not participating in the session, then the child’s parent or guardian needs to be in the vicinity of the run session in case there is an issue with their child.

There are a number of races organised for Juniors in Scotland. Please see the Junior Racing for info on racing, for target races for the year and a calendar of events.
